The 2023 Honda Accord heralds the 11th generation of Honda’s popular midsize sedan. The new Accord is larger and more efficient following a complete redesign and re-engineering. It offers more premium features, such as a standard digital instrument cluster across the range. Honda is placing great emphasis on its hybrid powertrain, with no less than four of six trims featuring it as standard.
The six trims on the 2023 Accord are:
LX and EX models come with a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder and 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system. Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring come standard with Honda's hybrid system and a 12.3-inch touch screen.

Offering comfortable and spacious accommodation for five adults, the 2023 Accord’s cabin is larger and roomier than before. It's also gained more premium materials and a larger 16.7 cubic foot trunk. Honda's honeycomb mesh strip across the dash, first seen on the latest Civic, makes an appearance here.
You’ll also be glad to note that the 2023 Accord offers traditional buttons and knobs for the standard dual-zone climate control system. Another neat standard feature that's not offered by its competitors is the digital instrument cluster. Power adjustable front seats are standard, as are Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ across the range.
LX and EX trim come with a 7-inch touch-screen infotainment interface, but stepping up to Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, or Touring grants you a large 12.3-inch unit. There’s also a 12-speaker Bose sound system option for music lovers.
The 2023 Accord takes Honda’s styling game to a new level. A four-door coupe silhouette with a discrete ducktail-style spoiler, full-length rear lighting cluster and aerodynamic stance all make for a truly handsome car. Up front, Honda’s honeycomb grille is flanked by slit-eyed LED headlamps and a clamshell-style hood. New alloy wheel designs are on offer as well.
At least six colors are known at the moment, of which three are new for 2023. Honda is likely to introduce more colors. Some colors may be extra cost options or trim-dependent. The colors are:
The all-new 2023 Accord receives two powertrain options that are dependent on the trim. LX and EX variants come with a 192-horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that also puts out 192 pound-feet of torque. Drive goes to the front wheels through a CVT automatic transmission.
Choose the Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, or Touring trims, and you're getting a hybrid powertrain. This comprises a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine plus a pair of electric motors. Together, the system can produce up to 204 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque.
As a new model, neither Honda nor the EPA has released official fuel consumption figures. However, it’s safe to assume that the 2023 Accord Hybrid will at least match, if not better, the 2022 model’s 48 mpg combined figure.
The 2023 Accord takes the midsize sedan game to a new level. Would you like to be the proud owner of Honda's game changer in the segment? It's as simple as dropping by Ascension Honda in Gonzales, LA, and taking a test drive.
