Materials For the Slip and Slide

You don’t need many materials for this simple project. You can make a slip and slide with the following:

• 100 x 100-foot roll of clear plastic sheeting
• 10 pool noodles
• 30 landscape pins
• Working hose
• Tear-free soap

Set Up the Slip and Slide

Once you gather your materials, you’ll be ready to set them up. Choose a hill, and roll out the plastic sheeting. Next, grab the noodles and set them up on the edges of the plastic sheet. They’ll serve as bumpers to keep the water inside of the slip and slide. Start by putting the first noodle at the edge of the plastic sheeting and roll it four times. Then, hold it in place with landscape pins. Also, make sure the pins go all the way into the grass so they keep the noodle firmly in place. Leave 10 feet of space, and then secure your next pool noodle. Continue with this process until you have bumpers on both sides of the slip and slide.

After, it will be time to wet the slip and slide. Soak it with a hose and pour tear-free soap onto the sheet to make it extra slick. In addition, you can even apply soap to your body if you want to increase the speed when you fly down the slide.
